Its been a long time since I last wrote here.. Since I was confirmed positively pregnant, I rarely visit my blog because I felt exhausted most of the time and busy to finish all my work before my maternity leave take place.. hehehe...
Today I would like to share with you an exercise special to those who plan to get pregnant... :) This exercise helps to relieve backache and thought to tone your pelvic and abdominal muscle, preparing them for pregnancy.
EXERCISE PREPARING FOR PREGNANCY -Churning the mill pose (chakki chalana asana)
STEP 1
Sit on the floor with your legs separated a comfortable distance apart. Straighten your legs and make your toes face towards you, to stretch the back of your legs. Keep your back straight. Hold your arms out in front of your chest. Interlock your fingers, palm facing you
STEP 2
Take a breath in. As you exhale, slowly bend forward as far as is comfortable. Keep your arms outstretched and your fingers interlocked. Slowly start making a large circular movement with your hands, trying to take your hands over your right leg as far as is comfortable. Keep both buttocks firmly on the ground. Pretend you are churning a mill with an old stone grinder. Keep your head and neck in line, and make the the movement soft and gentle
STEP 3
Inhale as you circle back to an upright position. Continue the stirring movement to bend forward towards your left leg as far as is comfortable. Exhale as you bend forward, and inhale as you bend backwards. Repeat 5 to 10 times in a clockwise and then anti-clockwise direction
